My final animation scene given to me was a test of all I've learnt in the 2 weeks I've been at the studio. I was quite happy with the outcome. Slight error I noticed; the angle of the top shot and girl didn't fit 100%. The timing of the highlight and door was off (the director changed it later on when I had already left so it couldn't be helped ;] )
Valuable experience I'd be sure to hone in on!
My time at Mosaic ended on Tuesday this week. My buzz for animating continued on the week so I decided to start animating for a Markiplier video.
Markiplier is a youtuber that records gameplays. His voice and reactions are so animated that many animators decide to animate some clips of his gameplays. GrittySugar, an animator on youtube was one of many that had inspired me to create one. Her 'Markiplier animated-yandere simulator' was creative in terms of manipulating the voice recording and creating something equally as entertaining and hilarious.
I started a similar project about a few years back but didn't have the confidence to carry it on (I endlessly doubted my choice of scene/ design and choices of clips). This was for the Dungeons and dragons Rollplay series by itmeJP.
Also back then I had no idea how to create appealing background work. Depending how this project goes, I might go back and continue on with it once again.
For this new project, I'll be tackling the scenes with Backgrounds first!
My current progress:
The gameplay I'll be animating will be Firewatch!
