I was lucky enough to receive some very useful feedback for my showreel this morning. It made me realise there's much needed to be changed in my techniques to polish off some of the flaws I have.
Even though I don't intentionally animate in an anime style, it has somehow ended up being as such in most of my animations.
One of my main influences for chasing a career in animation was in fact born from watching my first anime 'Bleach', back in 2006. As I progressed in my studies in animation, many tutors had constantly told me to get rid of the anime style. At first I thought it was because they saw all anime as one style and they didn't understand there are many different styles within anime.
Even today I'm not fully aware of how my style influences my animations.
Guess my first step is to be fully aware of my style. Maybe dig up the old Richard William animation bible and study that closely for a while.
Must finish my current markiplier project for now though! Only a week and one day to go!
